Product Update Newsletter - November 2015 |
This will be our last communication for 2015. We hope that it finds you all well and enjoying life and maybe just beginning to wind down for the coming holiday season. |
We are taking this opportunity to update you
on the work we are doing to update, extend and strengthen the
RecFind 6 Product Suite. The following are just some of the new and enhanced products we will deliver
between now and the end of 2016 as part of our ongoing commitment to
provide you with the very best software available.
|
The new RecFind 6 Records Hub will become a standard part of the RecFind 6 web client. The Hub will be a one-screen, single entry point to all functionality in RecFind 6. It will display all daily operating statistics in an easy to read manner (similar to a dashboard) and will include standard management reports. There will be dynamic links between the hub and all functionality in the RecFind 6 web client so you can work within the Hub, linking to the required functionality in RecFind 6 when required and then returning to the Hub with a single click. |
This new product represents the most significant change to the RecFind 6 User Interface since its first release in 2008. It will significantly improve and automate your interface to RecFind 6 and reduce the time required to perform tasks by at least 50%! |
The Hub will be configurable at two levels. The RecFind administrator will configure site defaults and then each user will be able to configure the information and functionality he/she wants to see on the Hub. The Hub will be a cross-platform product and will run in a variety of browsers and operating systems including Windows PCs and Notebooks (including the Microsoft Surface), Apple OS, iOS (iPad), etc. Estimated release date August 2016. |
RecFind 6 RecCapture has been redesigned and rewritten to make it an even more powerful and fully-automatic EDRMS capture and classification tool. The business rules function has been significantly enhanced and improved making it easier to specify and apply your rules when monitoring the shared drives for fully-automatic electronic document analysis, capture and classification. Core programs have been converted to Windows Services. Estimated release date February 2016. |
RecFind 6 GEM has been redesigned and rewritten to make it an even more powerful fully-automatic Email capture, classification and archiving tool. The underlying technology has been completely updated so as to better support Office 365 and a host of other email systems via an IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) connection. Core programs have been converted to Windows Services. Estimated release date February 2016. |
The RecFind 6 SharePoint Integration Module has been updated to better support both SharePoint 2010 and 2013. It has been specifically positioned to provide heavy-duty records management functionality to customers using SharePoint as their EDRMS. It adds ease-of-use, functionality, speed and scalability to any SharePoint EDRMS implementation. It eradicates the weaknesses of any SharePoint records management implementation by providing industry-standard records management functionality. Available now. |
RecFind 6 Workflow functionality is being redesigned for the RecFind 6 web client and rewritten as a more powerful and easier to use function. This is a totally new product. It consolidates all previous RecFind 6 Workflow functionality into a single module. Estimated release date October 2016. |
