< Download Now Size : 86.3 KB (88,453 bytes)
For x86 / 32bit systems extract the downloaded file to %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32 (overwriting the existing r6aux.dll file).
For x64 / 64bit systems extract the downloaded file to %WINDIR%\SysWOW64 (overwriting the existing r6aux.dll file).
Solution for machines with RecFind 6 Server
In addition to the above RecFind 6 Client solution, machines with the RecFind 6 Server will also need a new r6aux.dll in the ThumbNailService folder.
For x86 / 32 bit server installations, extract the above downloaded file to %ProgramFiles%\RecFind 6\Services\ThumbNailService folder (overwriting the existing r6aux.dll file).
For x64 / 64 bit server installations, download the file below and extract this file to your %ProgramFiles(x86)%\RecFind 6\Services\ThumbNailService folder (overwriting the existing r6aux.dll file). Note: Only this version of the r6aux.dll file should only be placed in the ThumbNailService, the other version is still to be used in the SysWOW64 folder.

Solution for installing RecFind 6 on a machine with Windows 7 SP1 / Windows 2008 R2 SP1
If you are installing the software for the first time on a machine with Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 2008 R2 SP1, the above steps must be performed before you run the SETUP.EXE. In the case of a RecFind 6 Server installation you will need to manually create the %ProgramFiles%\RecFind 6\Services\ThumbNailService or %ProgramFiles(x86)%\RecFind 6\Services\ThumbNailService folder and place the r6aux.dll file in the folder.
Applies to
All RecFind 6 components, up to and including version 2.3.
