Why does the patch number not show which service packs I have installed?

Symptom

When clicking on help about to find out which service packs I have installed it shows a patch number (eg 3F) when I have installed service pack 6.

Explanation

The RecFind patch number displayed on the help about screen does not show the last service pack you installed, it is a hexadecimal number which allows Knowledgeone Corporation to determine what other service packs you have loaded in the past.

The following table allows you to convert the patch number to a service pack number.
