Knowledgeone Corporation Respects your Privacy

Knowledgeone Corporation's relationship with its customers is very important to us. We understand that you have entrusted your personal and company information with us and we are committed to maintaining that trust. This Privacy Policy seeks to explain how Knowledgeone Corporation collects, uses, discloses and otherwise handles personal information. It also seeks to explain how you can request access to your information and correct your personal information and lodge a complaint about any suspected privacy breach.

Information collected
Knowledgeone Corporation collects personal and company information from its customers only if it is relevant to our business relationship with you. We collect this information when we meet with you, you send us an email, you complete any of our online forms or faxes and through telephone contact. The personal information you provide can identify you and your business and includes such items as your name and email address, job title, company name and address, phone number, website address and credit card details when you purchase from us.

During the course of our business relationship you may provide us with additional company information for processing. This information remains solely within the custody of Knowledgeone Corporation and is kept secure and confidential. Once it is no longer of use, it can be returned or destroyed. You and your company will make this decision.

How we collect Information
Knowledgeone Corporation collects information by asking you for it, for example, when you order a service and/or software, make an enquiry, enroll on a course or respond to a survey. A customer's name, address (postal and email) and telephone number are the most important pieces of information but we might request other information, based on, for example, the service being ordered or promoted.

We do not collect any information from you other than the personal and company information described above. Knowledgeone Corporation do not use "cookies" to collect information about you from our website.

How we use Information
Knowledgeone Corporation uses the personally identifiable information we collect principally to provide you with the service and/or software you have ordered and to let you know about other offerings which may be of interest to you. Postal and email address information, for example, enables communication about services offered and ordered, as well a the proper provisioning and charging of those services.

What Information about you is shared?
Knowledgeone Corporation may use Distributors and Third Party Suppliers to carry out certain functions in marketing and delivering services to you. As a consequence, data is shared with them to the extent necessary for them to perform their work. We bind these companies, through contractual agreements, to the same standard as ourselves so that the information is used only for the purpose for which it was shared and it is protected from any further use.

We will disclose personal information to comply with valid legal processes such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights and property. We will disclose information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.

We will not provide your information to a third party, for example as a reference, without your express prior permission.

We will not disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

Security
Knowledgeone Corporation will use up to date techniques and processes to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and confidential.

Only employees of the Knowledgeone Corporation Group and those who perform services on our behalf will have access to your personal information.

We will, with your assistance, keep your personal and company information accurate, complete and up to date.

We will delete your personal information from our records if you so request it.

Your access to Information
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and if necessary, request corrections and/or deletions.

Marketing and product information emails from Knowledgeone Corporation
Knowledgeone Corporation may use email addresses provided by you to send you information related to Knowledgeone Corporation products and services, or if you have previously indicated a desire to receive additional information.

If at any time, you would prefer not to receive further marketing communications, please contact sales and ask to be unsubscribed.

Complaint Procedure
If you have a complaint about how Knowledgeone Corporation has collected or used your personal information please contact our General Manager (details below).

Please submit your complaint in writing providing all the details necessary for us to properly investigate your complaint. For example, the date and time and circumstances of the supposed breach, an explanation of how you believe your privacy has been compromised and your preferred method of resolving the matter.

We will acknowledge receipt of your written complaint within five working days and will also make best efforts to investigate it and resolve it as soon as is practicable. The time to investigate and resolve will depend upon factors such as gathering and reviewing documents and interviewing related parties.

Our objective it to respond to all such complaints within 30 working days. Should the investigation and resolution processes take longer than 30 working days we will advise you of this fact and seek further consultation.

Our response will include:

  • Whether or not in our view there has been a breach of our privacy policy or any applicable privacy legislation; and
  • What action, if any, Knowledgeone Corporation will take to remedy the breach.
